As a voting member of the PTSA Executive Committee, you are a part of the decision-making process. Each role requires attendance (in-person or virtual) at monthly meetings, collaboration with the entire executive board, and availability for special events. Elected positions are a 2-year commitment.
The following positions will be open starting July 1, 2026:
Co-Presidents (2)
This leadership position plays a critical role in the Ardsley School District – working closely with the Co-President and the PTSA Executive Board, as well as administrators, teachers and parents to ensure the success of every child.
Create agenda for and lead Executive Board and general PTSA meetings. Attend and/or speak at PTSA functions as needed. Represent the PTSA at district functions (new staff reception, etc.) and attend school board meetings as able. Coordinate the work of all Executive Board officers and committee chairs. Collaborate with school and district administration on pertinent issues. Oversee PTSA communications. Develop and oversee annual budget. Sign all checks with the Treasurer. Review and sign all contracts. Help prepare the PTSA calendar for the year. Participate in Rivertowns Parents group.
Vice President, Fundraising
There are two positions - Each Vice President is responsible for half of our fundraisers and committees including supervising and assisting chair people of each event. Help recruit chair people as needed. Work with the Co-Presidents and the rest of the board to give event chairs the support they need. Make suggestions for fundraising improvements and the addition or removal of specific fundraising programs. Report on fundraising and committee activities at PTSA meetings.
Vice President, Concord Road Liaison
Coordinate with Co-Presidents. Responsible for class parents: Assemble class parent guide and hold class parent meeting. Provide information and support to class parents on PTSA and school activities throughout the year. Speak on behalf of the PTSA at back-to-school nights. Prepare email blasts on PTSA events for CRS community. Communicate regularly with the school administration. Report on school activities and issues at PTSA meetings. Work with school staff in managing PTSA budget and help coordination of programs and events for the school. Coordinate Teacher Appreciation Week Luncheon at CRS. Collect PTSA mail from school mailbox. Work on International Day at CRS.
Vice President, Middle School Liaison
Coordinate with Co-Presidents. Speak on behalf of the PTSA at back-to-school nights. Prepare email blasts on PTSA events for AMS community. Communicate regularly with the school administration. Report on school activities and issues at PTSA meetings. Work with school staff in managing PTSA budget and help coordination of programs and events for the school. Coordinate with VP Fundraising to organize and run the Popup Shop at AMS. Coordinate Teacher Appreciation Week Luncheon for AMS. Collect PTSA mail from school mailbox. Work on Wellness week at AMS.
Vice President, High School Liaison
Coordinate with Co-Presidents. Speak on behalf of the PTSA at back-to-school nights. Prepare email blasts on PTSA events for AHS community. Communicate regularly with the school administration. Report on school activities and issues at PTSA meetings. Work with school staff in managing PTSA budget and help coordination of programs and events for the school. Coordinate Teacher Appreciation Week Luncheon for AHS. Collect PTSA mail from school mailbox. Work on Wellness week at AHS, and special events such as Senior Breakfast, Senior Awards Ceremony and Graduation.
Vice President, Communications
Responsible for community outreach on behalf of the Ardsley PTSA. Using MembershipToolkit to develop and distribute regularly scheduled emails to the community describing the work of the PTSA. Additionally, this role is responsible for assisting in the delivery of communications related to events that the PTSA is involved in. This includes making sure the information is delivered to the Ardsley community as well as area organizations and publications. Manage the PTSA’s social media (i.e.: Facebook; Instagram) to promote membership, events, fundraisers, etc. and organize pictures taken at these events. Ensure that the Ardsley PTSA website is kept up-to-date with PTSA sponsored programs, fundraising events, calendar etc.
