As a voting member of the PTSA Executive Committee, you are  a part of the decision-making process. Each role requires attendance (in-person or virtual) at monthly meetings, collaboration with the entire executive board, and availability for special events. Elected positions are a 2-year commitment.

The following positions will be open starting July 1, 2025:

 

Secretary

This position involves detailed record-keeping and taking minutes at all PTSA meetings for distribution to all Board members. This role is also responsible for submitting Facility Use Forms to the district for all PTSA events. 

 

Treasurer

Oversee the annual budget and track all accounts payable and receivable. Knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred. This position requires availability to attend fundraising events, deposit money and provide monthly financial status updates. Other responsibilities include maintaining insurance and bonding requirements, coordinating tax returns with an outside accountant, and overseeing online sales websites and MemberHub.

 

Vice President, Fundraising/Committees

Two Positions - Each Vice President is responsible for half of our fundraisers and committees including supervising and assisting chair people of each event. Help recruit chair people as needed. Work with the Co-Presidents and the rest of the board to give event chairs the support they need. Make suggestions for fundraising improvements and the addition or removal of specific fundraising programs. Report on fundraising and committee activities at PTSA meetings.

 

 

Vice President, Special Education

Attend all PTSA board meetings to serve as a liaison between the PTSA and SEPTA, fostering open lines of communication and collaboration. Represent the needs and interests of students and families participating in special education to both the PTSA and the school administration, providing guidance and support to parents, teachers, and administrators. Communicate with SEPTA representatives and attend SEPTA meetings when possible, and report back minutes and key discussions to the PTSA Board. Collaborate with the PTSA Board to organize special events and programs that promote inclusivity and support for students with special needs. Promote awareness and understanding of special education issues within the PTSA and the wider school community.
