What Does the PTSA Support?

Your membership directly benefits Ardsley’s children, our teachers, our schools and our district!

What do we do with your money?

Here’s the breakdown of a standard $20 membership

$4.00 is paid to NYS PTA:

  • This provides access to a vast network of support for our PTSA as an organization and you as a member.  NYS PTA sponsors different programs; maintains a robust website of educational, parent, and community resources; and advocates at the state level for funding of public education programs, school safety mandates, and family engagement.

When you join Ardsley PTSA, you also join NYS PTA.  Visit nyspta.org to learn more.

$16.00  goes directly back to our schools:

  • We fund initiatives that enhance and enrich the curriculum through teacher grants and cultural arts programming.
  • We offer financial support for our families in need of assistance through our partnership with the school guidance departments.  We provide instrument rentals, yearbooks, Spirit Wear, school photo packages, school supplies, book fair vouchers, scholarships for the CRS summer literacy program, and other requests as they arise.  This program is fully confidential.  We want to create an inclusive community regardless of financial need.
  • We recognize our teachers, staff and administration for their hard work by hosting an annual teacher appreciation luncheon and providing other tokens of appreciation throughout the year.  We love our teachers!
  • We co-sponsor special programs and initiatives like Wellness Week in all schools; International Day, Latin America Day and more!

Why become a member?

  • You make an investment in our schools, our teachers, and most importantly, our students!
  • You have a voice and vote in our budget process, board elections and procedural changes.  Last year, it was through member feedback that we shifted to a PTSA vs. a PTA.  We’re listening!
  • You gain a network of resources through both NYS PTA and Ardsley PTSA including our calendar, our newsletter and our communication blasts to keep you up to date!
  • You join a community working to achieve what’s best for kids!

As a fully volunteer PTSA Executive Board, we’re always working for you!

What do we do?

  • We collaborate with building and district administrators monthly.
  • We run many fundraising events throughout the year. Though a small fraction of our money is used for operating expenses, all the rest of our proceeds are used to fund the above programs and more.  Check out our spiritwear and let your Panther Pride roar!
  • We provide opportunities to come together as a community through our DEI committee programming, Harlem Wizards games, Ardsley Cares Day, community meetings, parent education opportunities, the Big Read and our CRS and AMS book fairs and more.
  • We listen! Contact us any time at info@ardsleyptsa.org

Check out what we funded in 2024-2025!
